Apreamare Gozzo 42
Apreamare has launched the Gozzo 42, a contemporary evolution of the classic Sorrento gozzo that combines traditional Mediterranean shipbuilding with a sporty, modern design.
Developed by Cataldo Aprea together with designers Marco Casali ( Too Design) and naval architect Umberto Tagliavini (Marini Design), the 12.80-meter motorboat redefines the iconic Gozzo line, while preserving its internationally recognized identity.
Gozzo 42 design: New silhouette, classic DNA
The Apreamare Gozzo 42 features a completely redesigned hull and a hard top with an optional full glass windshield for greater sailing comfort in all weather conditions. The ergonomic helm station includes optional air conditioning, while air intakes integrated into the hull improve engine room cooling. A nearly six square meter aft platform with retractable swim ladder and tender lift complete the exterior.
Habitability on board: Created for the Mediterranean lifestyle
The spacious cockpit is centered around a two-meter sundeck and a C-shaped sofa with seating for eight. The private bow lounge features facing sofas and a second sundeck, both protected by carbon fiber awnings. The fully customizable wetbar has space for two refrigerators, an ice maker, and induction hobs or a barbecue.
Interiors and features of the Gozzo 42
The interiors are designed to offer comfort and bright spaces. The main cabin is part of an open layout, but can be completely separated from the living area by a door, thus ensuring total privacy for the owner. The cabin is also equipped with two spacious full-height wardrobes and numerous storage compartments.
The second independent cabin, optional, is located aft and has two 200 cm x 95 cm beds and 200 cm high wardrobes along the wall. The entire rest area is flooded with natural light thanks to the new hull and deck windows.
In terms of performance at sea, the Gozzo 42 meets the high standards of all Apreamare boats. The variable geometry hull with keel is designed for a conventional inline shaft propulsion system or a Volvo Penta IPS system, which guarantees safety, comfort and high performance in any sea conditions.
This model can be fitted with different engine configurations, such as two Volvo Penta D6 engines with shaft drive (380 or 480 HP) or with IPS system (500 or 600 HP). Thanks to these options, it can reach maximum speeds of between 27 and 36 knots, with a cruising speed of approximately between 22 and 27 knots. In addition, its large fuel capacity, with a tank of up to 1,200 liters, gives it a remarkable autonomy within its category.
With an overall length of 12.80 meters and a maximum beam of 4.20 meters, the Gozzo 42 offers ample space on board, with capacity for up to 14 people. This dimension, together with its design, guarantees stable and safe navigation even in the most demanding sea conditions.
