BARRACUDA TOUR 2016 – 4th edition of a unique event organized by BENETEAU

Well established in the hearts of BARRACUDA owners, this event organized by BENETEAU , with the collaboration of several partners, is now in its fourth edition . On this occasion, the BARRACUDA 8 , the latest addition to the range, will join the fleet.

Since 2013, from the Brittany coast to China , the BARRACUDA TOUR , a no-kill sport fishing competition, has allowed nearly 1000 participants , both professionals and amateurs , to experience fishing aboard a Barracuda boat.

A renewed format for the 2016 edition

This year’s edition is divided into three major highlights :

1. The SELECTIVES – spring 2016
   Organized by the BENETEAU dealer network everywhere.
2. AMATEUR CHALLENGE – from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 May
   In La Rochelle , open to everyone.
3. THE GRAND FINALE – from Wednesday 1 to Saturday 4 June
   Also in La Rochelle , with the best classifieds.

Who is the BARRACUDA TOUR aimed at?

• Do you own a Barracuda?
  You are automatically selected . You can register for the Qualifiers , the Amateur Challenge and the Grand Final .
• Don’t own a Barracuda?
  You can register for the Selectivs and the Amateur Challenge . The winners will advance to the Grand Final .

How to participate?

1. Registering for the BARRACUDA TOUR SELECTIONS

BENETEAU dealers organize fishing competition days in their regions.
The Selections are open to any BENETEAU motorboat owner .
At the end of the day, the winner will qualify for the La Rochelle Grand Final .

2. Registering for the AMATEUR CHALLENGE (May 27 to 29, 2016)

• Form a crew of 3 to 4 people .
• Participate in a festive and cordial atmosphere.
• Each team will have a Barracuda and fishing equipment at their disposal.
• The winner of the Challenge will receive the keys to a Barracuda 8 to defend the BENETEAU colors in the Grand Final.
• Owners of Barracuda 7, 8 or 9 can participate with their own boat to prepare.

The Grand Final and the Barracuda Tour Villa

The city of La Rochelle will host the Barracuda Tour from May 27 to June 4, 2016 .

The public will be able to enjoy an extensive program of entertainment and tests , in an open space under the villa’s tent .

The Grand Final , from June 1 to 4 , will bring together:

• Barracuda owners
• Winners of the Selections
• Collaborating crews
• The winner of the Challenge Amateur
